Celebrating….You!!

So I am a little stumped here for the moment.

It’s one of those weeks when work and exhaustion take you over and all you can do is crawl home and crack open some sort of alcohol before turning your brain off to watch TV. The alcohol is really to try and forget the grinder you’ve been through. The TV is just because you can’t miss Dr. Who. Or Arrow. Or Game of Thrones. Or The Voice. Or Hannibal.

Whatever. There are no circumstances that should prevent normal TV viewing except being outside the home at the appointed hour. And in this day and age, who’s outside the home, really? You would have to access the internet on some tiny device that really only does Pinterest well. And the noise in the bar is so annoying. Home is much better. And I hear there’s TV and alcohol there as well.

So yeah. I’m never going to be a ‘Wicked Single’ cast member. Especially since I don’t live in Boston.

But I digress.

The point is I feel so massively drained, I’ve missed a few days of my writing. Gah! Had to happen. But this is just a wagon and I’ve fallen off. So what do I do now?

I get back on. Starting with a blog post. About–nothing.

*Facepalm*

Okay, on the off chance that someone actually reads this thing, I will try to be a real blogger and ask questions. That way, we can all interact. And my first question is…

I forget.

How’s about we forget all this for a moment and just take a load off and celebrate the fact that we’re here, breathing, living, writing, creating, learning, and some of us are even getting paid for all that?

My debut novel, Lex Talionis, comes out next year. I never even thought I would get published. But it has happened, and even during an exhausting week like this, it makes me happy when I think of it. Because, you know, the edits haven’t been requested yet.
